QPR 1-0 Birmingham City

A wonderful 25 yard strike from Samuel Di Carmine helped 10 man Queens Park Rangers beat Birmingham City in their Championship game on Tuesday night. The result means that Wolverhampton Wanderers, who beat Swansea 2-1, regain their position as Championship leaders.

Gareth Ainsworth started off on a good note against Reading, making the Hoops the first team to come out of the Madjeski with points this season. And despite having Mikele Leigertwood sent off for studs up challenge on Lee Carsley, Di Carmine’s second half goal ensured that QPR condemned Birmingham to their first away defeat of the season.
