Zimbabwe vs West Indies-ICC Champions Trophy- a review

This game’s result wasn’t a shocker to anybody, but the way some of the Zimbabwean batsmen got out makes me wonder if they should be here given the turmoil the game is in their country. Only Prosper Utseya, Tafadzwa Mufambisi and Elton Chigumbura reached double figures. Kevin Curran’s young side notched up their 6th sub hundred score in the new millenium, a feat neither the coach, nor his wards, will be too proud of.

The West Indies achieved their task of of 86 runs in 14.2 overs with the loss of Chris Gayle and the defending champions have definitely made a statement with this thumping . Gayle was named the MOM for his 3 wickets and 41 runs.

As for Zimbabwe, I doubt whether their soul searching will ever end.
