Kasper Schmeichel to leave Manchester City- father
If Danish legend Peter Schmeichel is to be believed, his son Kasper will not be at the City of Manchester Stadium next season. The 21 year old is below Joe Hart and Andreas Isaksson in Sven Goran Eriksson’s goalkeeper list, and with Eriksson unable to guarantee him a regular starting place, Kasper is set to leave City.
Schmeichel is currently on loan at Coventry City. He is a product of City’s famed youth system, but has been unable to break into the first team. He made his first team debut for City against West Ham in August 2007, and many City fans will remember the save he made to deny Robin Van Persie from the spot when the Gunners played City.
Apart from Coventry, Schmeichel has also had loan spells at Darlington, Bury, Falkirk and Cardiff City.
