West Ham have signed Bordeaux midfielder Julian Faubert for a fee of 6.1 million pounds. Faubert was interested in moving to Rangers, but the Scottish giants were reportedly unable to meet Bordeaux’s expectations for the young French winger, having had a four million bid rejected earlier.
Faubert has signed a five year deal with the Hammers. As with all good wingers, he is pacy and can cross well. He is a product of the Cannes youth academy and originally arrived at Bordeaux as a right back. He got converted into a midfielder, and the lad proved his versatility by excelling at the RM spot. He has been capped at international level, and scored on his debut for France against Bosnia and Herzegovinia.
