The host for the 2014 Asian games has been determined and it will be held in Incheon, South Korea. Incheon beat New Delhi ( India) by a margin of 7 votes.
The Asian Games will return to South Korea after a gap of 12 years- Busa, in 2002 was the last to host the Games. The 2010 edition of the games will be held in Guangzhou, China.
South Korea offered USD 20 million as assistance to countries that had not won a medal in any of the previous games. India was unable to match that, although it was widely expected that New Delhi would bag the games. The Indian Olympic Association chief Suresh Kalmadia and sports minister Mani Shankar Aiyar held opposite views on the issue of bringing the games to Delhi, and ultimately it is presumed to be this divide which lead to the Indian contigent ending up on the losing side.

South Korea is a great place to have it instead of New Delhi. I’ve been to India and it’s so polluted. I’m sure South Korea has more respect for the environment.
