Arsenal and United to battle it out for Camoranesi in January

According to reports in the News of the World, both Arsenal and Manchester United will fight for Mauro German Camoranesi’s signature in the winter transfer window.

Camoranesi, of the few Juventus players to remain at the club after the match fixing scandal which engulfed Italian football, is reported to be unhappy with life in Serie B, not finding life easy out there. He had earlier reinstated his desire to stay at the Turin club despite strong interest from the likes of Valencia, Lyon and Liverpool amongst others in the recent transfer market.

The Tondil born midfielder is a natural at the right of the park, and was a part of the WC winning squad of the Azzurri in July.

I’d still think Camoranesi may prefer to join United.
